Share results
Send a crawl's analysis to anyone by link, read-only and without an account.
Share a crawl by link
A finished crawl can be shared with anyone: a client, a colleague, the person who writes the content. They open the link in a browser and read the analysis without creating an account. Sharing is part of every plan.
- Open the crawl's results and click Share at the right end of the toolbar above the data column.
- Switch on Anyone with the link can view.
- Click Copy and send the link.
While a crawl is shared, the button reads Shared, so you can tell at a glance.
What people with the link see
The same results you see, for that one crawl: every view in the rail, the link graph, each page with its links and sections, and the directory filter. They can click through all of it.
They cannot:
- download CSV exports,
- see or change your suggestion rules,
- re-analyse the crawl or start a new one,
- open your other crawls or projects, or see your account.
Stop sharing
Open Share again and switch the link off. It stops working at once for everyone who has it. Switching sharing on again makes a new link, so a link you handed out stays dead.
Shared analyses are kept out of search engines. Anyone holding the link can still pass it on, so switch it off when it is no longer needed. Deleting the project ends every link to its crawls as well.
Re-analyse a crawl
The three dots next to Share hold Re-analyse crawl. It runs the analysis again on the pages the crawl already fetched, without crawling the site again and without spending your page budget. It takes a few minutes on a large site; the results update by themselves when it finishes. See Run a crawl for what each stage does.
